Individual and Family Health Insurance Plans

With all the new changes to health insurance, it may be hard to choose the appropriate plan for yourself or your family’s health care needs. There are several factors to consider before choosing a plan.

  1. Price – How much premium should you expect to pay each month?
  2. HMO,PPO or HSA
    1. HMO: More comprehensive but only allowed to consult doctors within the network
    2. PPO: You may consult any doctor however, there may be additional out of pocket cost.
    3. HSA: High deductible, lower premium. May visit any doctor however, you must cover 100% of the medical costs until you reach your deductible.
  3. Consider coverage on x-rays and prescriptions
  4. Emergency Care Coverage
  5. Deductibles
  6. Out of Pocket maximums
  7. Coverage for Specialists

It may seem like a daunting task to filter through all of these considerations. As a brokerage, Aspen Cove Insurance is here with its Licensed Account Manager to review all of these options with you to insure that you have the necessary information to make the important decision of which health care provider to go with.

Life Insurance

Life insurance is probably one of the most uncomfortable things to discuss. However, it is also one of the most important things to discuss. Life insurance can insure that your family is taken care of if something happens to you. It can also, allow you the necessary time to mourn in the unfortunate event of losing a loved one.

Things to consider:

  • As the primary provider you should carry 7-10 times the amount of your annual income.
  • As a secondary provider you should carry 4-6 times the amount of your annual income.
  • Consider the amount it may cost to pay for a funeral or medical expenses if you lose a loved one.
    • In the unfortunate event of losing a loved one it is inevitable that you will miss time at work to mourn with your family. Make sure you have the necessary income to make it through those tough times
